Connect learning to real work
uStudios is working with the New Mexico Media Arts Collective to help connect education, hands-on training, and meaningful production opportunity for existing and emerging media talent.
Albuquerque is our home base. Our purpose is statewide: to create production capability, connect education to real work, strengthen local crews and vendors, and expand opportunity into rural New Mexico as media evolves.
New Mexico is not a backdrop. It is home.
As a designated New Mexico Film Partner, uStudios is building a long-term home base that connects production capability, technology, local execution, education, and statewide relationships.

The campus is intended to support regional production, local hiring, local vendors, training access, and place-rooted stories—not concentrate all opportunity in one city.
Film and television remain central, alongside commercial, digital, virtual, branded, creator-led, and emerging media as part of New Mexico’s future economy.
The New Mexico Film Production Tax Credit is earned against qualifying in-state production and post-production expenditures. Because it is refundable, it functions more like a production rebate than a conventional nonrefundable tax credit.
| 25% base | On qualifying New Mexico production and post-production expenditures. |
|---|---|
| +5% eligible uplift | For qualified production-facility use or eligible television series and pilots; these two uplifts cannot be combined. |
| +10% rural uplift | On qualifying expenditures in eligible areas at least 60 miles from Albuquerque and Santa Fe city halls. |
| Up to 40% | Depending on the project, expenditures, location, eligibility, and state approval. |

The goal is not merely to host productions. It is to grow repeat activity, strengthen local crews and vendors, expand technical capability, and help the value created through media circulate within New Mexico over time.
Built by New Mexicans. For New Mexico. Open to the world.
